Whether you are big or small you can implement eco friendly processes through every phase of your business.
How can your business be more eco friendly?
No matter what stage you are in your business you can start making eco friendly choices.
For example a product based company could consider its product as the biggest environmentally contributor it has.
So how would you make your product eco friendly? Is it even possible to do?
You might first consider the products entire life cycle (and after life cycle).
- Encompassing all sustainable material sourcing,
- Manufacturing,
- Labelling,
- Workers,
- Shipping,
- Wrapping,
- Transportation,
- Use in life and,
- Disposal (recycle – back to the store, reuse – has an after life purpose, or it is biodegradable – compost).
Now the whole product lifecycle is huge, if that is beyond your control at the moment or you have a service based business instead consider;
- Choosing plastic free options,
- Choosing locally sourced office supplies,
- Choosing recyclable office materials,
- Choosing eco friendly paper and inks for business point of sale and stationery,
- Reusing previous point of sale to reduce printing and wastage,
- Recycling your business waste (where appropriate),
- Choosing a green host for your website and e-store,
- Choosing to carbon offset your computer, electronic and server usage.
Ultimately there are numerous ways your business can become more eco friendly.
This is a very small list on ways your could make your business more eco friendly, you might think that doing one thing on the list isn’t a lot, but imagine if every business did just one (or all)? We would conduct business in a much friendlier way!
