How to create a double exposure effect in photoshop in seconds!
First of all what is a double exposure effect?
It is where you overlay an image with a different image.
Keep in mind you must sect appropriate images for double exposure.
Essentially you want to combine a portrait of a human or animal with a nature, ocean, sky, fields or cityscape.
I like to use this effect if you want to add another meaning to the photograph. Most common examples are people with cityscapes, or in nature as this can show their surroundings, aura or soul.
Learn how to up your photo game and create eye catching imagery.
It’s easy as 1. 2. 3.
Have the two images you want to combine, with the landscape or floral imagery on top.
- Set the image layer on top blend mode to screen and reduce the opacity.
- Create a mask on the landscape layer and paint on more of the detail.
- Unlock the mask from the image and add a colour gradient map of your choice, adjust the blend mode to what suits you best, overlay, lighter colour and reduce your opacity.
Sit back and admire your genius.
